We have always been committed to the fight on illegal drugs and keeping Taylor County highways safe.

In 2006, Sheriff Jeff Watson and the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office began competing in the State of Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Challenge Program. This challenge is open to all Georgia Law Enforcement agencies.

Each agency is allowed to provide a summary of its highway safety enforcement and education activities for the year. By participating in the Governor’s Challenge, the agency is then eligible to participate in the National Association of Chiefs of Police Challenge.
